A motorway junction must cross the ancestral property, which dates back to Richard the Lionheart, of an English aristocrat, Lady Sheila Belmont. She will therefore enforce desperate measures to save her hundred-year-old trees.

One evening, Désirée, a young German girl of passage in Paris, meets Charles, France and Ivo. Once the excitement of the night, they find themselves in a sudden intimacy. The early morning will discover them changed.
